Studying Abroad

In order to fulfill your visa requirements it is necessary to take a course at a local college while in the USA. This is a great opportunity to study abroadwhile making new friends and seeing what American college life is like. Your host family will contribute up to US$500 towards your course costs.

There are hundreds of options to choose from. After a year in your host community you will likely get to know your area really well.  Since most of our au pairs are placed in urban or suburban areas, you will have lots to see and do within a few hours drive of your American home.

But you will also have time to go even further from home and see some of the unique sites the USA has to offer. You receive two paid weeks of vacation and also have a whole month in which to travel at the end of your year.
